[Apr 2023] Goodbye and see you later, Valerie

After two + action packed years, including dealing with the COVID pandemic, Valerie has left us to return to Ireland. Valerie led the ECF rocky shore biodiversity project, together with numerous team members, sampling 24 shores around HK over two seasons and two years and helped arrange all the BioBlitzes and other events associated with the project. Despite this huge logistic challenge (especially during COVID) Valerie was always a cheerful and positive member of the TIDE group and we shall miss her contributions both academic and cultural! The good news is that Valerie is returning to Cork University, where she hopes to continue surveys of rocky shore biodiversity in Lough Hyne and so we shall be able to keep in touch.
