[Jul 2020] Fayeeja is working on her summer project with us!

Fayeeja, as part of HKU’s Summer Research Fellowship programme, is working on determining the thermal tolerance of a group of intertidal gastropods from the family Littorinidae, with particular focus on two mangrove snails: Littoraria melanostoma and Littoraria ardouiniana. The project will hopefully extend to also include two rocky shore species: Echinolittorina malaccana and Littoraria articulata from the same family, in order to investigate how individual thermal physiology enables species from this family to persist on thermally stressful tropical shores.
